This call for ARTIST STAMPS / ARTISTAMPS / FAUX POSTAGE STAMPS is now finished. After all, it's not 2008 anymore. Thanks to all you wonderful mail-artists who participated!
Postmark Deadline: December 31, 2008
* Send loose stamps or use them on envelopes. * Please Send via Postal System. * Artistamps returned to everyone with a legible address. * Artistamps received will be archived on this blog.
I’m not doing this to accumulate physical objects. I will send back artistamps to all contributors. If you send unattached pieces, I will send them back to the other participants.
was born in New York and raised in Central Pennsylvania, the Ozarks of the North East. In 1976, he started a novelty button company, designing and producing thousands of original buttons, magnets, stickers, and cards. After living in San Francisco, then rural Southern Oregon, he sold his company (Ephemera) and retired to Victoria BC, with his Canadian wife. Now he keeps busy giving away his art to folks in the various internet groups he plays in. *************************************

Pauline Groenevelt, a 17 year old graphic design student from Holland, sent us this envelope decorated with her art. Her design of a tulip was selected to become a real postage stamp. Congratulations Pauline!
Happy New Year to all my creative friends out there in the ether. I am in the process of assembling 60 envelopes of artistamps by all the artists who contributed to ARTISTAMP 2008. Keep an eye on your mailbox if you sent something after July 1, 2008. .
William sent us this folder containing 2 very cleverly modified political stamps along with some of the originals. Is this the Keating of the Savings and Loan debacle? .
